He did have to re-learn how to chew certain things, like bully sticks, because those carnassials were really a big part of his chewing! But he adapted, dogs are so good at that.

I was offered the root canal option as well but opted against it. Ein was 9 at the time and he is a hard chewer, I felt that the risk of him breaking the repaired tooth were pretty high.

Oh Ein's mouth just looks just like his normal row of teeth with a gap missing on either side. Nicely healed gums, they do not bother him and aren't sensitive.

I hope this helped, good luck with your dog!dogbird dailyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01669855044556626656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8728239450684064906.post-77625859946723474662016-07-03T15:38:51.111-07:002016-07-03T15:38:51.111-07:00Hi Danielle, my dog fractured the same 2 teeth and...Hi Danielle, my dog fractured the same 2 teeth and my vet gave me 2 options either root canal or extraction. Root canal is twice as much. Does ein miss those teeth? Can she still chew? Does plaque build up on the opposing teeth? What does her mouth look like all healed? Thank you do much,
Garrettburkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14292824695195349523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8728239450684064906.post-31542060711901505642014-09-13T20:05:34.675-07:002014-09-13T20:05:34.675-07:00What a pain! That can be so important but it's not easy to find!Laura and The Corgi, Toller, & Duckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06437492165453445126noreply@blogger.com
